The consulting department develops design projects for and with the different social operators to assist the organizations in their needs of excellence, competitiveness and, generally, of change.

Teams of experts and researchers, often operating with a multidisciplinary approach, cooperate to offer their support to develop urban spaces, commercial areas, new products, advertising campaigns, innovative interiors and several other complex activities based on the innovation and creative process.

Design, intended as a field, has traditionally been interpreted as a specific curative expertise founded on the attribution of structure, form and characteristics to the surrounding objects, while in recent years it has been intended as a process, able to mediate between the various intangible components of the products – factors relative to use, fruition and individual and social utilisation of the product (functional, symbolic or cultural aspects) – and those associated with production, such as economical, structural, systemic, productive and distributive factors.

The Consulting Service follows this more complex conception of design as the cardinal element for the definition of an Innovation Strategy, acting, in essence, as a connector, a mediator between the social/contextual requirements of people and those technical/productive and economic of companies, fuelling that expertise with know-how, which is so important for the renewal and development of a material and industrial culture.

Design is therefore an issue which does not limit itself only to a product’s planning, understood as the result of an innovation, but takes the shape of the driving force of the entire innovation process – design-driven innovation - which involves various players and resources, and acts as the driving factor of encouraging changes to the scheme of meanings, languages and values, and of the identity of the product and company in its entirety.
