Academy of Desing

Design represents one of the most important strategic levers, responding to demands for innovation emerging from the economic, social and cultural system. The environmental issue, the new social features, the new demands and the big questions which arise from the social and cultural system are equal challenges which, along with the economic issue, employ the system of design as a cultural agent called upon to operate on the professional and research fronts.

The values incorporated in the products, processes, services and systems are the driving force of a new economic system concept. The Italian tradition of doing design has provided important contributions to the discipline and the profession creating new areas of cultural elaboration and new procedures that can be exported. The Academy of Design operates in such context, and the pathways we offer will challenge the conventional outlook.

The Academy of Design offers a wide variety of programmes that range from business to communication design and from space design to product and service design. Master of Arts and Certificate programmes are offered in Italy while a set of Executive and Corporate programmes are delivered in a number of foreign cities.

The Academy pursues an international focus and draws creatively its education upon the resources of important art centres worldwide.
