6 months full-time and 3 months of real life programme and internship
New competitive reality forces companies and organizations alike to integrate models and managerial approaches with action modalities and tools expressed by the culture of the project. From this point of view, design no longer plays a role relegated to the definition of the classic form-function, but rather presents itself as a fundamental ingredient in creating the company’s identity, establishing new relationships with the market, capturing weak signals and translating them into innovation and new business models. In such contexts, the manager operates in a new multidisciplinary field where innovation is the result of contribution of several competences gathered to generate a new and appropriate strategic language for the competition.
Business Innovation Design is a means for competitive edge. Companies face the challenge to launch innovative services and products that appeal to the consumer both with their physical dimensions and their performance through their intangible aspects such as interactions and symbolic valence. Business Innovation Design focuses on the area of service innovation design and industrial innovation design, and pursues the goal to train the participants on how to bring innovation and creativity, quality and effectiveness in the areas of services and products, investigating and improving the areas of organization and relations. It revolves around the idea that the project is the “core” and the “driver” of the business.
The Business Innovation Design programme aims at creating a link between the world of business and the world of design. It intends to create a class of managers for design-driven companies that combine entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and ability to embrace at the same time vision and reality, design and production, innovation and tradition.
